GrammaTech, Inc.
Paul Anderson (paul@grammatech))
is VP of Engineering at GrammaTech, a spin-off of Cornell University that specializes
in static analysis. He received his B.Sc. from Kings College, University of London
and his Ph.D. in computer science from City University London. Paul manages GrammaTech’s
engineering team and is the product manager for CodeSurfer, and CodeSonar. He has
helped a wide variety of organizations, including NASA, the FDA, the FAA, MITRE,
Draper Laboratory, GE, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, apply automated code analysis
to critical projects. Paul has worked in the software industry for 16 years, with
most of his experience focused on developing static-analysis, automated-testing,
and program-transformation tools. A significant portion of his work has involved
applying program analysis to improve security. His research on static analysis tools
and techniques has been reported in numerous articles, journal publications, book

Jon Bach is senior consultant and Manager for Corporate
Intellect at Quardev, Inc., a Seattle outsource test lab where he manages testing
projects ranging from a few days to several months using Rapid Testing techniques.
In 2000, Jon and his brother James invented Session-Based Test Management for managing
and measuring exploratory testing. In his thirteen years of testing, Jon has been
a test contractor, full-time test manager, and consultant for companies such as
Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. He has written articles for both Better Software
and Computer magazines.

Marc S. Bloom heads up Data Warehouse and Analytics Platform Testing for Capital
One. He is an experienced IT Director, Project Manager and Quality Assurance professional
with expertise implementing enterprise-level solutions. Accomplishments include
integrating complex technology and infrastructure solutions for core financial services
and customer management systems. Before joining Capital One in 1998, Marc spent
10 years as a certified systems engineering consultant deploying and supporting
large-scale network solutions for Fortune 500 corporations. Marc holds a Bachelor’s

Michael Bolton is the co-author (with senior author James Bach) of Rapid Software
Testing, a course that presents a methodology and mindset for testing software expertly
in uncertain conditions and under extreme time pressure. Michael has over 17 years
of experience in the computer industry testing, developing, managing, and writing
about software. He was with Quarterdeck Corporation for eight years, delivering
the company's flagship products and directing project and testing teams worldwide.
Michael has been teaching software testing and presenting at conferences around
the world for eight years. He is Program Chair for the Toronto Association of System
and Software Quality, and a co-founder of the Toronto Workshops on Software Testing.
He has a regular column in Better Software Magazine and writes for Quality Software

Brian Bryson, Technical Evangelist, IBM Rational Quality Management. At IBM Rational,
Brian Bryson is a member of the quality management team that plans and delivers
IBM Rational's software quality toolset. Prior to joining the IBM Rational group
in 1995, Brian spent several years in Quality Assurance. Holding various positions
from Tester to QA Manager, Brian studied and developed the best practices required

Hans Buwalda is an internationally recognized expert
in test development and testing technology management. He was the first to create
an integrated keyword-driven approach, which he named “testing with action
words”, now widely used throughout the testing industry. Originally from the
Netherlands, Hans now lives and works in California as CTO of LogiGear Corporation,
directing the development of Action Based Testing™ methodology for test automation
and its supporting TestArchitect™ toolset. He is coauthor of Integrated
Test Design and Automation and a frequent speaker at international conferences.

Andy Campbell hails from the west coast of the United States, living in such metro
areas as Los Angeles, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas. He received a BS
in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Pacific in 2001, which was
followed by an MS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering
from the University of California, Davis in 2003. Andy now lives in central Massachusetts
and has worked at the MathWorks for the last four years, three of which he has spent
in Quality Engineering. As a Quality Engineer he has been responsible for the qualification
of the Control System Toolbox and Simulink Control Design, and other toolboxes.
Andy has recently moved to the Testing Infrastructure and Architecture team, contributing
in that role to the GUI testing infrastructure and to long term organizational efforts
of the test tools infrastructure. While such work keeps him intrigued, busy, and
challenged during the work week, Andy really just lives for his wife and three children.

IBM
David Chadwick has worked in operating systems, computer architecture, and distributed
programming models. For the last twenty years, David has specialized in the development
of performance testing technology. He has worked in product development and support,
technical services, customer training, and in pre-sales working with customers.
Recently he was project leader and primary author for the IBM Redbook called Using
Rational Performance Tester version 7. His educational background includes two BS
degrees (EE & CS) from NC State University, an MSEE in Computer Engineering from
Stanford, and completed PhD coursework at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Lee Copeland has more than thirty-five years of experience
as a consultant, instructor, author, and information systems professional. He has
held a number of technical and managerial positions with commercial and non-profit

is recognized worldwide as an expert test and evaluation instructor with Software
Quality Engineering. He has implemented and managed testing efforts on large-scale,

processes. Rick is co-author of the reference book Systematic Software
Testing.
