Hard Problems in Software Testing
Scott Tilley, Florida Institute of Technology
Some problems in software testing seem timeless. Other challenges arise due to the introduction of new technologies (e.g., SOA and cloud computing). What are your current pain points? At the Florida Institute of Technology, Scott Tilley is leading a project to identify hard problems in software testing. These problems should be sufficiently challenging to warrant focused attention for the next five years. They should also be sufficiently important to the community such that if measurable progress were made in solving these problems, we would advance the state of the practice in software testing to everyone’s benefit. Help us (researchers) help you (practitioners) by directing our efforts on issues that truly matter to you. We are soliciting your input through interactive discussion. Working together, we can make headway towards solving these grand challenges in software testing.
