Press passes are given to those contributing writers or freelancers who have the required credentials and who will be writing about a Software Quality Engineering conference event. All press personnel must be pre-qualified and pre-registered. The credentials of members of the media arriving at a Software Quality Engineering event without pre-registering will be evaluated at the event for admittance.
A press pass, available for pick-up onsite, will admit working media – free of charge – to all exhibits, keynotes, conference sessions, tutorials, breakfasts, lunches, special events and press-only events. In order to obtain a press pass to a Software Quality Engineering conference event, press delegates must submit one of the following:
Trade and Business Publications/Newspapers
A bylined article written by the applicant, published within the six months or a letter from the applicant’s editor, on their media’s outlet stationery or received directly via email from the editor's verifiable email address, stating the applicant is assigned to cover a specific Software Quality Engineering conference event.
Freelance Writers/Reporters/Authors
Original letter of assignment or copy of contract from publisher or news organization or an electronic copy received directly via email from the editor's verifiable email address, or two samples of bylined articles published within the last year.
Online Publications/Online News Services
Business card with editorial title plus copies of two bylined articles printed from the Web site or an Internet address so that we may view such articles on-site.
Market Research Staff and Industry Analysts
Business card with editorial/analyst title and copy of white paper, briefing or report published within the last year.
Admittance
Software Quality Engineering reserves the right to refuse or rescind a press pass for any reason. However the primary reasons for such extreme steps would typically be: 1)failure to provide adequate credentials (we highly encourage pre-registration) or 2)unprofessional conduct by a media delegate during the course of the event. Additionally, Software Quality Engineering reserves the right to modify or waive these requirements at any time, but will honor existing press registrations.
Cancellation
A press conference pass includes all conference sessions, breakfasts, lunches, special events and bag. Since we incur considerable costs on a press delegate’s behalf, we request any cancellation notice at least five days in advance.
Audio Taping
Audio taping is not permitted without the express written consent of the speaker(s) and Software Quality Engineering.
Photo Release
From time to time we use photographs of conference participants in our promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance at the conference and/or EXPO, you acknowledge that Software Quality Engineering, Inc. reserves the right to use your likeness in such materials.
