Registration hours vary. Please note the following are registration hours for STAREAST Conference:


Sunday, April 15 – 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 16 – 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 17 – 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 18 –  7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 19 – 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, April 20 – 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

What is a typical daily schedule?

Monday and Tuesday:  Tutorials from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday:  Keynote at 8:30 a.m., concurrent classes held at various times in 60-minute segments, breaks for refreshments, and lunch
Wednesday:  EXPO open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Thursday:  EXPO open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 
 
  4.   What is the dress code?

Casual, comfortable attire is recommended for speakers and attendees. In April, the weather ranges from the high 70s during the day to low 40s at night. You may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater for the evenings or varying temperatures in the hotel.
 
 
  5.   What is Software Quality Engineering’s cancellation policy?

Registrations cancelled after Monday, March 26, 2012, are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. No cancellations or refunds may be made after Monday, April 2, 2012. Substitutions may be made at any time before the first day of the program. TO CANCEL: Call the Client Support group at 904.278.0524 or 888.268.8770 to obtain a cancellation code.

Once your registration has been received, a registration confirmation notice will be sent to you via email within two business days (Monday–Friday). Please verify that your email address is entered correctly on the registration form.

  10.   Do I need to reserve a seat in any of the tutorials or concurrent classes?

Seating is limited in tutorials, so please reserve your seat early. As we get closer to the conference, some tutorials may be full. In this case you will receive an email asking you to make another selection.  All tutorial selections must be made by April 11, 2012. The Wednesday and Thursday concurrent sessions do not require reservations. You may enter or leave any session at any time, space permitting.
 
 
  11.   Should I bring a laptop computer?

Although a laptop is not required for the conference, it is preferred by some conference delegates. Some tutorials require laptops—please see the tutorial description page. If you feel you need a laptop for additional note taking, Internet access (not available in classrooms), or another purpose, you are encouraged to bring one. Please note that Software Quality Engineering does not provide storage or take responsibility for laptops or other personal items at the conference.
 
 

  12.   Once I get to the hotel, how will I know where to go for the conference?

Once you arrive at the hotel, signs will be posted directing you to the conference. If you have any questions during the conference, feel free to ask a member of the STAREAST Conference staff.
